The Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA)

The Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) promotes and facilitates cooperation and participation in research efforts among economics professionals in the academic, government and corporate sectors who share interests in economic relations between North America and Korea and among the Pacific rim nations in general.
The KAEA sponsors programs and publications and conducts activities that are appropriate for a non-profit professional society and for the advancement of the members.
The KAEA’s objectives have been promoted and facilitated since 1985 by such means as:

    1. Professional meetings and conferences.
    2. Information services.
    3. Technical publications.

The KAEA maintains close relations with professional organizations that share the same scholastic interests and concerns; e.g., the American Economic Association, the Korean Economic Association, Association for Asian Studies, the Committee on Asian Economic Studies, the Korea-America Finance Association, Western Economic Association International and  Southern Economic Association. The KAEA’s additional ongoing professional activities include recent joint conferences with the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the Korea Economic Institute, the Korea Development Institute, the Bank of Korea, Korea Institute of Finance, Gyeonggi Research Institute, among others.
