VIRTUS INTERPRESS PAPER SUBMISSION MODELS: PROCESS AND FEES
Submission process
- As soon as the paper is submitted to us by the author we inform him about the expected date when we receive the reviewer’s feedback. As usually the reviewing process takes 7-15 days. This lets the authors feel comfortable regarding the reporting to their Universities and plan their research activity effectively.
- We apply the best practice in the paper reviewing, “a blind reviewing”. All papers submitted to the journal are delivered for reviewing to anonymous reviewers.
- As soon as we receive the feedback from the reviewer the Editor-in-Chief makes a decision whether to publish your paper or not, and informs the author about this decision.
- If the paper is accepted for publishing and the decision of the Editor-in-Chief is positive, the Editor-in-Chief advise the author of the accepted paper to pay acceptance fee (acceptance fee policy see below).
- Once the acceptance fee is paid by the author, the Editor-in-Chief file all the author info and instruct the Publisher to accept the paper for publishing in the journal, and sends the author the payment receipt to let the authors ask for reimbursement from the author university.
Acceptance fee
- Submission fee is substituted by acceptance fee. Payments are made by authors only in a case if their papers are accepted by reviewers and the Editor-in-Chief for publishing in the journal, i.e. after acceptance of the papers. Therefore, if the paper is rejected by the reviewers the authors HAVE TO PAY NOTHING. All expenses are covered by the Publisher of the journal.
- Acceptance fee is EURO 360. This is a standard fee which assumes that the paper will be published in 9 months after its acceptance by the Editor-in-Chief. In some case the Publisher could reduce the fee upon the circumstances the author informs the Publisher.
- The authors could ask the Editor-in-Chief to publish their papers earlier than 9 months, in the upcoming issues of the journal, including the continued issues. In this case we could try to publish the author paper in three weeks, or three months after its acceptance. The author will be proposed such options of publishing by the Editor-in-Chief, and the author should make his own choice of the term of publishing (three weeks, three months, nine months).
- If the author chooses options for term of publishing as three weeks or three months, the acceptance fee are expected to increase as it causes urgent expenses by the Publisher. A huge part of the expenses will be undertaken by the Publisher, and the standard acceptance fee will be only for 10 per cent higher for three months option, and 15 per cent higher for three weeks option publishing.
