Author's Report During the first year of publishing the journal made a remarkable progress toward development of the author database. We published 12 papers. The most critical items of the author database, i.e. the share of empirical papers published in the journal and number of regional markets, considered by authors, developed sufficiently.
We have contributors not only from developed countries. There are many contributors from developing countries too, i.e. Malaysia, Singapore and Ukraine.
At the same time, there were many contributors from well-known countries where corporate board research has a rich history. These are Australia, Italy, Norway, Sweden, France, Netherlands. We try to keep to a diversified approach to accept papers, submitted to the journal. The issues of corporate board the most frequently considered by the authors are board role, executive compensation, board committees, board composition. More than a half of all papers published in the journal were written on the above mentioned issues. At the same time we welcome authors writing on other corporate board issues such as director independence, executive recruitment, director election, and others.
By this item the journal Corporate Board: role, duties & composition shares a leadership position among other corporate governance (corporate board) periodicals.
