The Department’s main objective is research, which is pursued through collaborations with leading Italian and international schools and institutions.

Alongside research, the Department focuses on education. DIG has the responsibility within Politecnico di Milano for teaching the specializing courses that can be studied in the Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering curriculum. It also underpins a wide range of other courses offered by Politecnico di Milano.

DIG is the centre for the Doctorate of Research in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DRIG), a training path for research in the fields of management, economics and industrial engineering.

The Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering, with MIP, Business School of Politecnico di Milano, is part of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.
